Facility Manager (New Fulltime Position!)

The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding (NWSWB) seeks a new full-time team member who balances demonstrated experience and well-honed problem-solving skills with outstanding communication.

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring boat school-owned buildings (15), equipment, and grounds are maintained to be safe, clean, and in good working order. The individual will work with program instructors and staff to support program needs during the year and be available to assist with setting up and taking down boat school fundraising and off-campus events.

Over the last eight years, the school has invested over $5.5 million in building its now 8-acre campus, which sits on the waterfront of Lower Port Hadlock.

Leadership Transition: Seeking New Executive Director (press release)

Our Executive Director is retiring June 30, 2025 and we are seeking a confident and experienced strategy and people leader who believes in transforming student lives.  

The Executive Director is responsible for all NWSWB operations and performance in addition to developing and implementing strategy in partnership with the staff and board. This position reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all instructional and administrative staff.

Our role in developing the Marine Trades workforce is maturing at a crucial time for the industry.  

We teach not only the skills requirement but also strive to instill the hallmarks of craftsmanship to give our graduates immediate desirability in the market.  

We want the right individual to build on the strong foundation we’ve set.
